Mock Test is run from Dhaka, Bangladesh. This page says what we know about you, who else can see it, how long we keep it, and how to have it removed.
If anything here is unclear, write to [email protected] and a person will answer.
What we know about you
Because you told us
Your name and email address, and a password you choose. We cannot see your password — not even we can read it back — which is why we can only ever help you set a new one, never tell you the old one.
If you want to fill them in, you can also add your phone number, gender, date of birth, country and a photo. None of those are required to sit a paper.
If you sign in with Google or Facebook instead, all we receive is your name and email address. Nothing else on that account comes to us.
Because you sat a paper
Your answers, which section you were in, when you started and finished, and the band your answers produced. For Writing, what you wrote and how it was marked — by an instructor, or by our AI if you chose it.
For Speaking, a recording of your voice answering each question, and how it was marked. Your browser asks your permission before it uses the microphone. Before the section starts, a short sound check records a few seconds so you can hear yourself; that clip is played back in your browser and never sent to us. Your actual answers are sent to us so they can be marked.
If you choose AI evaluation, your recordings are also written out word for word by a speech-recognition service, and the recordings and that transcript are marked by an AI model; we keep the transcript with your answers. Your Writing, if you choose AI evaluation for it, is marked by the same AI model. We may also use these services to help an instructor mark a test you chose an instructor for. Nobody else hears or reads your answers.
This is the product. A mock test that forgot your answers could not mark them, could not show you where the marks went, and could not tell you whether you are improving.
Because you paid
We never see your card number, your bKash or Nagad PIN, or your CVV. You type those on the payment page, which belongs to our payment partner, not to us. Which partner that is depends on where you are paying from — see below.
What we keep is the receipt: how much, in what currency, by which method, when, and whether it worked. We need that to give you access and to refund you.
Without you doing anything
Your IP address, the kind of device and browser you are using, and roughly which city and country you are in.
That last one is worked out on our own computers — your address is not sent anywhere else to look it up. We use it to show the site in Bangla to somebody in Bangladesh before they have to ask, to fill in the right country code on a phone box, and to notice when someone is trying to break into accounts.
Who else can see it
Nobody buys this from us and nobody is given it for advertising. It goes to these, only for the job named:
- Our payment partner, who takes the payment. Your card details go straight to them and never through us. Which partner depends on where you are: EPS in Bangladesh, which carries bKash, Nagad, Rocket and Bangladeshi cards, and Polar everywhere else, which is the seller of record for international purchases and handles the card and any local sales tax. Either way they receive your name, your email address and the amount — what a receipt needs — and we receive no card number.
- The service that sends our email, so a verification or password-reset message can reach you.
- Google Analytics, so we can see which pages bring people to the site.
- The services behind AI evaluation — a speech-recognition service (Speechmatics) that writes out recorded answers, and an AI model provider (Google, for Gemini) that marks Writing and Speaking. They receive only what is needed to mark the answer — your writing or your recordings, and the task — never your name, email address or payment details. We delete each recording's transcription from Speechmatics as soon as we have collected it.
- The chat window, if you type something into it.
- YouTube, but only if you press play on a video in an article. Our own picture is what you see first; nothing reaches YouTube until you press the button on it. Press it and you are watching a video on their player, and they see that the way they would if you had opened it on their site.
- The company that keeps the site online and fast, which necessarily sees the address every request comes from.
Two things we deliberately keep back
We do not measure anything inside the test. No tracking runs while you are sitting a paper or reading your result. Somebody in the middle of a timed exam is not something to be counted.
Password and verification links are never reported. Those links contain a one-time code. Before anything is sent to Google, that code is stripped out, so it stays in your browser and goes nowhere else.
What is stored in your browser
Very little, and none of it for advertising:
- The language you chose, so the site opens in Bangla or English next time. It is saved only when you press the switch.
- Your sign-in, so you are not asked for your password on every page. Clearing your browser data signs you out.
- Google Analytics keeps a small marker of its own, and only if you agreed to it. Blocking it in your browser does not stop the site working.
- Your answer about cookies, so we do not ask again every visit. It never leaves your browser.
Every one of these is listed, with what it is for and how to change your mind, in our Cookie Policy.
How long we keep it
- Your account and your test history, including Speaking recordings, their transcripts and AI evaluations — for as long as the account exists. Delete the account and it goes.
- Payment receipts — seven years, because tax law says so. Receipts only; we never had your card details to keep.
- Emails and chats with support — two years, so we can see what was said last time.
- Everything else, including addresses in our logs — ninety days.
What you can ask us to do
Write to [email protected] from the address on your account, and you can ask us to:
- show you everything we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong — most of it you can change yourself on your profile page;
- delete your account and everything with it. We will tell you plainly if anything has to stay and why, which in practice is only the receipts above;
- stop emailing you. Every email that is not essential has an unsubscribe link. Verification and password-reset emails are not marketing and cannot be switched off while the account is open.
We answer within fourteen days.
Age
This is for people preparing to sit IELTS, and it is not built for children. You need to be 16 or older to open an account. If you are between 16 and 18, a parent or guardian should agree to this with you. If we find out an account belongs to somebody under 16, we close it and delete what is on it.
Where it is kept
Our own records stay with us, and so do our backups. Some of the services above run on computers outside Bangladesh, which is how the internet works everywhere.
If this page changes
If something that matters changes, we will update the date at the top and email everyone who has an account. Small corrections of wording we will simply make.
